Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams, typically consisting of nine players each. The game is played on a diamond-shaped field, with four bases arranged in a square layout. The objective is for one team to score runs by hitting a ball, thrown by the opposing pitcher, and then running around the bases to return to home plate. The team in the field attempts to prevent runs from scoring by getting hitters out through catches, tagging players, or throwing the ball to bases ahead of runners. Baseball is characterized by its unique playing rules, including turns at bat, innings, and various ways to achieve outs. It is widely regarded as America’s pastime and has a rich history, significant cultural impact, and various professional leagues, most notably Major League Baseball (MLB).
