International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions between countries, including their political, economic, social, and cultural relationships. It encompasses a wide range of topics, including diplomacy, conflict, trade, international organizations, global governance, and the role of non-state actors. IR seeks to understand how states and other entities behave in the international system, the principles that guide their interactions, and the implications of these interactions for global peace, security, and development. Academic disciplines within IR include international politics, international economics, security studies, and international law, among others. The field also examines theories that explain international behavior, such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theory.
