Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams, typically consisting of nine players each. The game is played on a field with a diamond-shaped layout, which includes four bases: first base, second base, third base, and home plate. The objective of baseball is for one team to score runs by hitting a pitched ball with a bat and running around the bases to reach home plate, while the opposing team tries to prevent runs by fielding the ball and getting batters or base runners out. The game is divided into innings, during which each team has a chance to bat and field. A team scores a run when a player successfully reaches home plate after touching all four bases in order. Baseball is known for its strategic elements, including pitching, hitting, and defensive positioning, as well as its rich history and cultural significance in countries such as the United States, Japan, and many others. The sport has various professional leagues and is enjoyed at amateur levels worldwide.
